As per Maharashtra Board directives commerce students at F. Y. J. C and S. Y. J. C study various subjects. There are two categories compulsory and optional subjects. There are total 8 subjects in F. Y. J. C and S. Y. J. C, out of which 6 subjects are compulsory and 2 subjects are optional which students have to select. Among the compulsory 6 subjects 1 subject is a graded.

Maharashtra Board gives another option to students where they can select subject as per their interest in Theory or practical.

Documents Required for admission :
- Print out of Online Admission Form.
- Orginal Marksheet of FYJC (for verification)
- Xerox copy of the FYJC Marksheet.
- Xerox copy of the Aadhar card. (compulsory)
- Xerox copy of the Residence proof (such as electricity bill, license, passport, rent agreement etc)
- Girls should submit Declaration form (given by the college) and first and last page of Ration Card. Otherwise without Ration card girl student should pay full fees. Fourth girl child or whose name is not there in Ration Card has to pay full fees.
Attendance Committee :
As per Maharashtra State Board rule every student should have 75% attendance every month. Attendance is calculated at the end of each month and a defaulter list is displayed on the notice board.
Parents of the students who are not complying with attendance rules are called for the ‘Parent-Teacher’s Meeting’- PTM. The students have to comply with attendance rules otherwise strict actions can be taken.
Examination Committee :
For SYJC students, there will be one term end examination of 80 marks at the end of the first term and one preliminary exam in the month of January. Preliminary exam will be of 80 marks in every subject. For Languages 80 marks written exam and 20 marks orals, For Information Technology- 80 marks written exam and 20 marks practical exam, For Maths/Stats- 40 marks written test for Paper I and paper II and 20 marks for practical. For compulsory subjects- 80 marks written exam and 20 marks for internal assessment which includes- 15 marks for project and 5 marks for viva. Environmental Education is a compulsory subject and it carries 50 marks, which is divided into Project (30 marks) and Journal Assignments (20 marks). 50 marks of EVS will be incorporated in the result. For Health and Physical Education- students will be informed accordingly.
Unfair Means Committee :
Copying during examination is strictly prohibited. If any student is found with written materials, printed materials or digital material during exams- he or she will be awarded ZERO marks in that subject.
Result Committee :
The Result Committee of Junior College enters the awarded marks of the students for all subjects for all examinations conducted throughout the academic year. The processes data is rectified and checked. After verification of the data, consolidated statements of marks for every student of FYJC are prepared. Allocation of statutory grace marks is done according to the guidelines of the Maharashtra Board. Result analysis and compiling the result work is done as per the guidelines of Board. At the end of the year, consolidated mark sheets of each student of FYJC are printed and distributed to students.
After the distribution of results, students are given ‘eight’ days for verification of their marks.
Cultural Association :
‘CREATIVITY IS AS IMPORTANT NOW IN EDUCATION AS LITERACY AND WE SHOULD TREAT IT WITH THE SAME STATUS’ – KEN ROBINSON
The performing arts range from vocal and instrumental music, dance and theatre to pantomime, sung verse and beyond. They include numerous cultural expressions that reflect human creativity and that are also found, to some extent, in many other intangible cultural heritage domains.
Cultural Association conducts various intra-collegiate competitions in the field of Dance, Singing and Drama, Fashion Show etc. to develop the personalities of students and also to prepare them for inter-collegiate competitions.
All Language Literary Association :
‘Language shapes the way we think and determines what we can think about.. , Benjamin Lee Whorf. The All Language Literary Association of Junior College tries to inculcate written and oratory skills in our students through various activities.
Throughout the year, the association conducted a series of activities to sharpen their imagination and creativity and also encouraged students to participate in intercollegiate competitions. Various competitions like Essay Writing, Debate and Elocution were organised where students got the opportunity to display their artistic instincts.
Fine Arts Association :
Art is an expression of our thoughts, emotions, intuitions, and desires, but it is even more personal than that: it’s about sharing the way we experience the world, which for many is an extension of personality. It is the communication of intimate concepts that cannot be faithfully portrayed by words alone. And because words alone are not enough, we must find some other skills to carry our intent.
So the association always conducts different activities for students to bring out their hidden talent such as Poster Painting, Tile Painting, Umbrella Painting etc. new events like Shoe Painting, Toran Making and Cushion Cover Painting etc. considering recent trends.
Prize Distribution Committee :
This committee awards the toppers in academic and for sports activities. Best Boy and Best Girl – Principal’s Special prize is awarded in every year based on their academic performance, Co-Curricular Activities and performance of sports.
Discipline Committee :
Our College comprises of a few teachers in this committee. Promoting good behaviour among students and rewarding those with good conduct is the main objective of this committee. Behavioural problems among students are detected and examined and proper counselling is given. Suitable action is taken against students’ mis- conduct.
Specific Behavioural Guidelines:
- Wearing I-Card in the college campus is compulsory, without which the student will be fined.
- It is impermissible for the students to use mobile phones in the class room or in corridors. They are supposed to use it in ‘Mobile Zone ‘only.
- Resting, napping or sleeping is not allowed inside the classroom.
- Students should respect others’ feeling- no teasing, nick name calling etc.
- Students should respect each other- no rough play, no fighting, no bullying, no threats, no harassing, no ragging etc.
- Respect the property of the college. Don’t draw or scribble on walls or desks of class rooms.
- Act in a safe and responsible manner.
